Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. It is a comprehensive research university with distinctive characteristics in aeronautics, astronautics, and civil aviation. The university is a "Double First-Class" construction university and a key construction university of the "211 Project" and "985 Project Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform". Founded in October 1952, NUAA is one of the first batch of aeronautical higher education institutions established in New China. The university now has three campuses: Minggugong, Jiangjun Road, and Tianmu Lake, covering a total area of 3,046 acres with a building area of 1.893 million square meters. The university has 3,526 faculty and staff members, including 2,083 full-time teachers.
