Bachelor of Science in Mathematics | UM-SATU (University Malaya) is a 4-year, full-time, on-campus bachelor's programme delivered in English at Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur — designed to develop graduates with rigorous training in pure and applied mathematics, statistics and computing for careers in data science, finance, research and industry.
The curriculum spans calculus, linear algebra, ordinary and partial differential equations, probability and statistics, complex variables, numerical computation, introduction to analysis, combinatorics, algebra, operations research, foundations of data science and structured programming — supported by Student Holistic Empowerment (SHE) electives, nine program elective slots across Years 3–4 and final-year industrial training.
Graduates are equipped for careers as Data Analyst, Statistician, Actuary, Mathematician, Data Scientist, Quantitative Analyst, Financial Analyst, Software Developer, Machine Learning Engineer, Operations Research Analyst and Academic Lecturer — or to pursue postgraduate study at University Malaya.
