Bachelor of Performing Arts | UM-SATU (University Malaya) is a 3-year, full-time, on-campus bachelor's programme delivered in English at Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur — designed to develop versatile performing arts practitioners with integrated training in music, dance, drama and theatre production.
The curriculum spans music theory, aural and musicianship, ensemble and orchestra, drama appreciation, acting, directing, playwriting, vocals, dance technique, theatre technology, costume and set design, production and stage management, performing arts theory, final year project, industrial training and programme electives — supported by research methodology, arts management and student holistic empowerment courses.
Graduates are equipped for careers as Actor, Dancer, Musician, Choreographer, Director, Stage Manager, Theatre Producer, Performing Arts Educator, Performance Designer, Lighting Designer, Arts Administrator and Cultural Program Manager — or to pursue postgraduate study at University Malaya.
